Day 8 - June 8th - Tuesday.

Post birthday.

And a good time was had by all.

It's Tuesday. My apologies for being MIA yesterday. I suppose you could say that Vegas does that to a person.

Sunday evening we went to an Italian joint called Capo's. Great food. Amazing service. Fantastic ambiance. Two thumbs up!! We ordered the calamari and meatballs for an appetizer. Ahhhhmazing. I had Chicken Marsala for dinner, which was also to die for. So much fun. A Sinatra-esque singer up on the stage was the only thing needed to complete the experience, and there he was. The place is dark red, seedy but kinda classy if that's possible, with velvet wallpaper and rich artwork. I always forget to take photos, as I'm caught up in the moment.

After stuffing ourselves to the gills with carbohydrates and cocktails, we headed off to Fremont.

As I mentioned in my last post, anything and everything goes on Fremont Street. And again, I failed to capture it aptly in photos. 😐. Here is a video Beau took...

Photos from Fremont....

Monday was my actual birthday and we pretty much laid low all day. We slept until 1pm, went to Outback for a fancy lunch,

and then went back to the RV to chill for the evening. Somewhat anticlimactic, but I sooooo enjoyed hanging out with my son and husband with nobody else around.

Today, Tuesday, we got up and went over to the STRAT hotel so the boys could ride the 'coaster' that hangs off the top of the Stratosphere tower. B.A.N.A.N.A.S!!!! Not me, Sister. No freaking chance. Stopped to grab lunch and went home to change for the evening.

Tuesday evening we booked tickets for a very special trip to a place called Area 15, a huge retail/entertainment complex off the strip in Las Vegas. Specifically we were going to see an incredible interactive art installation called Omega Mart. We were pleasantly surprised, however, to find that there was much more to see and do than we had anticipated. Wowza!!! Soooo cool. Highly recommend. Apparently, there is an entire story to be uncovered in the exhibit, however we need another trip back to Area 15 at some point. There was just way too much to take in in a few hours.

Some photos...

After the kooky trip to Area 15, we headed back to the STRAT for dinner at The Top of The World. The view was amazing. Ambiance was fantastic. Food was fabulous. Price tag was OUTRAGEOUS. Haha.
