Day 39. July 9th. Friday.

Well, my last post was almost a week ago, which is an indication that either I'm lazy, or that perhaps I've been busy. I'm going to go with a bit of both. It's been a fantastic week in Gig Harbor, Washington. I chose Gig Harbor because it was the location for the 2018 HGTV Dream Home, my dream home. The house has been sold since being won three years ago, and is off the market. Some day. Some day, People. Just watch.

The RV park was, yet again, perfect. I'm not bragging or anything, but so far in the RV park department, I'm batting 1000. We haven't had a bad spot yet. Eddie agrees, but he'll agree to just about anything as long as you feed him.

I get a little carried away with the flower photos, but I love love love flowers, so you'll just have to bear with me.

Anyway, we arrived in Gig Harbor on Saturday and set up camp. Gig Harbor is about an hour south of Seattle, and sits right on the Puget Sound. It's breathtaking..

We took a trip to Albertson's grocery store in the afternoon, and that was our big adventure for the day. Beau's friend from high school and his wife came for dinner, which was super fun, and we woke up on Sunday with a bit of a hangover. Okay, a pretty decent hangover.

Sunday Funday was just that. Friends from high school, who live in Gig Harbor, invited us out on their boat for the day. What a treat!! We got to see bald eagles and seals, and a fantastic air show on the water.

I also took a few videos of the air show, but for the most part it just looks like I'm recording the clouds, lol...

Monday was a lazy day. We hung out at the campsite all day, then met Beau's friends (who are now my friends, too 😁) at The RAM Brewery in Tacoma (Ruston). Our wait for a table on the water, which was originally 35 minutes, ended up being over an hour. Wait time aside, the food was fabulous and the cocktails were good. No complaints.

This is Beau and Bill...friends from a hundred years ago...

After dinner in Tacoma, we drove bag to Gig Harbor for a nightcap at a local bar called.Hy Iu Hee Hee (hi you hee hee). I also bought $20 worth of these weird tickets they sell, i.e. I lost $20. Haha.

Tuesday was another beeyouteeful day, so we decided to take the dogs to the McCormick Dog Park just around the corner from the campground. It was, and I'm not exaggerating, super duper fantastic.

Wednesday we went back to the dog park for another lap, and the doggies were giddy with glee. It's amazing how great they are off-leash. Weeman is actually pleasant with the other doggies, which is not normally the case. When we get back to Park City, I'm going to find some off-leash trails and keep this positive change in behavior moving in the right direction.

Wednesday evening we met my friend Kelly for dinner on the harbor at Anthony's, another household name in Washington. We had berry lemonade with vodka, yum,, and the meal was perfect...Caesar salad, Rockfish, and Créme Brûlée. Yum. Here are some shots of the restaurant and around the harbor...

Our visit to Gig Harbor was one to remember, and we will definitely be back!!
