We are headed out to conquer the open road in two months. A big consideration in this 'journey to the ends of the Earth' is/was obviously our furry pals. There are three, and they are all coming along for the adventure. Eddie and Weeman will ride in the truck, and Maggie will hold down the fort inside the RV while we travel. Beau, although he jokes about it a lot, loves our animals. I say this with some level of uncertainty. He jokes about taking Ed for a long walk off of a short pier. I'm sure he doesn't mean it. 😜. We have a king size bed, and all five of us fit perfectly. Haha.
Eddie came to me as a rescue at the age of 6-7. He is now 11-12. I was volunteering with my daughter at a local rescue shelter/ranch. He was a mess, sitting behind a giant piece of plexiglass, barking his bloody head off to the point he was just worked up beyond no return. That was five years and a lot of nice possessions ago. Eddie loves to chew on anything and everything, and he love love loves to eat. He is not discerning. Haha. As I say, when it comes to Eddie, "We can't have nice things." That being said, life would not be the same without him and it might even be boring. I go back and forth on the topic of life with dogs, but I'm not sure I could ever live without one.

Weeman is a Dorkie. 1/2 Dachshund, 1/2 Yorkie. He has one blue eye. Rescued him from a trip to the pound in Tampa in 2012. He is going to be 9. Weeman enjoys chasing and torturing other dogs, big or small. There is a Great Dane two trailers down from us and Weeman totally barks and carries on like he is going to puff up his chest and do something about this 200 pound giant. It's beyond entertaining. I love Weeman to death, and he's great with humans.

Maggie is our very sweet black-n-white kitty. I have no idea how old she is. I don't even like cats. True story. She was left behind by a 'roommate' in Coalville, and she has been with me ever since. Maggie's annoying trait is that she sleeps all day, then gets up at 2 or 3 am to run all over us in the bed. Ugh!! I mean that in the nicest way. Maggie is super sweet, very shy and yet somehow talkative. I will never be a cat person, but I will love her regardless.
