Day 31. July 1. Thursday.
Oyyyyyy!!! I'm three days behind in my posting again. My apologies to my six readers, lol, I will try to do better. The truth of the matter is that I have been having so much fun, coupled with a total lack of sleep, and I'm just all discombobulated.
Let's see...where was I?..
Monday. Day 28. June 28th. (posted 7/31)
We drove to my cousin Beth's house in Mukilteo around noon, where we left our truck, and took her car across the ferry to Whidbey Island. The island was much larger than I had imagined, and we hardly touched the surface.
I literally took one photo the entire time, which is quite funny, and the ONE I did take is of the water from inside the car which was inside the ferry.

We came off the ferry in Clinton, and stopped to find a place for lunch. Unfortunately, the heat was so horrific that every place in town had closed its doors for the day. We tried about six restaurants, before we drove West across the island almost to Freeland. We ended up having lunch at a little doughnut shop called Whidbey Doughnuts.. They were two seconds from closing and were kind enough to make us their last guests for the day. I had a Reuben sandwich that was made perfectly, and Beau had the fish and chips. It's sad I know, but most meals we eat out, we end up sharing whatever we order with eachother.
Our afternoon visit was cut short after lunch, as we had to get back to the RV, so we agreed that we would be back at Beth's for dinner later. You see, there was a cat problem. The problem, essentially, was that she was missing. I called the RV park office on our way out to let them know we were missing a cat, and explained that we had looked everywhere to no avail. Well, they found the cat, and were not thrilled to hear that we'd gone off sightseeing for the day.
We went back to the RV park, collected Maggie the Cat, and returned to the trailer for my afternoon nap. We went back to Beth and Rick's for a lovely dinner and view of the Salish Sea (aka Puget Sound). These are a couple photos Rick took recently of the sunset from their place...just beautiful, and you can sit and watch the ferry go back and forth across the water to Whidbey Island.

Tuesday. Day 29. June 29th. (posted 7/31).
We were up early on Tuesday, and on our way to downtown Seattle by 9am. We drove to the Seattle Center, with tickets for the Chihuly Glass and Garden Museum and the Seattle Space Needle in hand.
The Chihuly Exhibit was everything I could have imagined and more. Something like 130 different colors of glass, blown and shaped and assembled to form absolutely amazing creations. So fun!!! Sorry for all the photos, I got carried away.

The gardens were amazing. We also got to watch a glass-blowing demonstration. Apparently, Mr. Chihuly's workshop, called a 'hot shop', is down in Tacoma where we will be next week. Definitely going to check it out.
Next, we walked over to the Space Needle. We took the elevator.to the top and walked around the observation deck. On the floor below, we found a glass rotating floor, which was somewhat unnerving.
The next stop for the day was Kerry Park on Queene Anne Hill, which has amazing views of the port and the city...
Our last stop for the day was a visit to the Fremont Troll living under the bridge.

Tuesday evening we had dinner on the water in Mukilteo at Ivar's Restaurant. The food was amazing, the view superb, and the company goes without saying. Fantastic dinner, followed by dessert and the view at Rick and Beth's.

Wednesday. Day 30. June 30th.
(posted 7/31)
We met Rick in Beth over in a town called Woodinville, where we visited several wineries and a brewery.
