Day 42. July 12th. Monday. Need to catch up on our last two stops. I was trying to remember our stops thus far, and they are starting to run together...I think this is number thirteen. Recap, just for my old brain...

Three Forks (we are here)
Amazingly, we have landed in yet another great camping spot. Hubby says I'm still batting 1000. Yay!! We are here for seven nights, so we will hopefully get an idea what it's like in this part of Montana. I will say this about Northwest Montana...stealing a phrase from my dear friend Shane...Die! Die! Die! Beau and I both absolutely loved the entire area. Everywhere you look, it's like a painting. Lakes, millions of trees, mountains. Whitefish, Montana has moved up to the short list. Oh, and I found my next house, located at 275 Good Medicine Dr, Whitefish, MT 59937 😎. It's spectacular.

But I digress.
We spent Thursday and Friday night (7/8-7/10) in Spokane, Washington. Not much exciting to report from this stop. Lol. Weeman got a haircut, we got some other things taken care of, including laundry, and Eddie got to take a dip in the Spokane River.
These are are some shots from the drive from Gig Harbor to Spokane...
And our fur babies, hanging out and exploring at the river...

We left Spokane Saturday morning, but not before my husband went to get gas and turned back up with SIX of the most gorgeous donuts you have ever seen...maple bars, chocolate bars and apple fritters, oh my!! One thing I am not doing on this trip is losing weight. Ugh-a-mundo. I may actually be gaining, but I haven't jumped on a scale yet. Lol.
The drive from Spokane, through Idaho and into Montana, was very smoky. I tried to take photos in Idaho at Coeur d'Alene, but as you can see the smoke is really blanketing the view of the mountains.
We arrived in Whitefish, Montana on Saturday afternoon around 4pm, as we lost an hour in the drive east. It was hotter than Hades, so we chilled for the evening.

Sunday we went exploring in Whitefish and managed a peek at Whitefish Lake. Afterwards, we stopped for lunch and drinks at The Montana Taproom (a lovely bottle of Sauvignon Blanc), and then trekked a few doors down to The Bonsai Brewing Project, a local ale house and beer garden.

.As we were unable to get our hands on the necessary entry reservation tickets for Glacier National Park, we waited until after 5pm, when the reservations were no longer needed. It worked out well, because there were fewer people, and we were able to let Eddie swim in the amazing McDonald Lake.
